IKEA at Aarhus.

today's alr the 6th day tt i'm here with meimei.

prepared some finger food for her to bring to school :D

meimei went to school and i kept myself occupied at home with the laptop.

all prepared while waiting for meimei to be home before we head out!

oh, and abt 15-20mins aft she told me she boarded the bus from school, i'd look out for her through the window from our room.

hehe, and that's her walking back home aft alighting at the bus stop nearby.

we were alittle lazy today, so we heat up the leftover lasagne from ytd, made a sausage and each a cup noodles for lunch :D :D

after which, we headed to Ikea!

walked there!

is that a caravan we see?

if it is, it's damn cool.

it's common for families here to have these behind their cars.

soon after, we found Ikea!

they display furnitures at the open space just right outside their outlet!

the moment we stepped in, i saw these!

they are just so cuteeeee!

i totally wanna get one!

but still considering... hmm... should i?

the first thing mei did when she saw a sofa.

lol, i can see that she really made herself feel at home. 

walked on alittle deeper and saw this!

ahhhh, i want this in my future home!

a big table in the middle of the kitchen!

so that there'll be sufficient space to lay out all the kitchen equipments for cooking/baking!

full length mirror that we miss!

we dont have one in our apartment :/

she saw a bed, and just laid on it. lol.

then, we reached the kids' section!

after exploring Ikea, we took a look at their menu outside.

they have sausage bread too, but it's so diff!

their sausages are longer than those sold at Ikea Singapore, but breads are shorter than those sold at Ikea Singapore!

well well, we decided to try their cinnamon roll.

smells great!

but the taste...

well, it was tougher than we thought.

so hmm.. just one time.

wont try it again. hahaha!

we spotted a bus that we can take, home.

the stop is where the supermarket is, so we decided to make our way there to see if there's anything we needa get.

while walking towards the supermarket from the bus stop, we spotted a patch of grass.

the weather was nice, the sky was pretty and everything just felt good.

so we decided to sit on the grass and observe people while taking some photos at the same time :'>

too much walking, hence the need for a plaster on the feet. heh.

21st birthday present from the siblings came into good use now :'>

enjoying the breeze while sitting on the soft grass.

wind was strong, so i decided to tie up my hair into a ponytail.

anw, we shop for groceries almost everyday.

it's like our day is incomplete if we havent visited the supermarket before heading home. haha.

meimei's first day of school at Aarhus University.

good morning!

it's meimei's first day of school at Aarhus University!

mega sadness coz we missed the bus and had to wait like 20more mins or so for the next one, which in-turn caused meimei to be late for school on her first day.

she was so upset and pissed that she did'nt have the mood to smile for a pic :/

well well, and finally, the bus came.

oh yes, and as i was mentioning in one of my previous posts, this is the kind of 'bees' we see everywhere here!

they're irritating!

but we learnt from the locals here that they're harmless.

and they're not bees!

they just have yellow and black striped bodies, like the bees.

but in fact, they're just flies. lol.

and yes, i attract them alot! *dislike* >:(

anw, we finally reached her school but we were lost.

couldn't find her class.

this is the corridor of classes, but apparently, they dont look like one.

too pretty to be a schoool!

she went to find her class after getting some help from the staff at the International Office.

well, she had to attend class and so I roamed around on my own in the school, trying to find a place to sit while waiting for her to end class.

this is the place i found.

it's like a study area for students, but apparently it's empty.

watched some of my vids while waiting for her.

it's a 4-hrs lesson that she was attending!

on a sidenote, too much walking resulted in a plaster on my foot.

later, she realised tt her classroom was just a walking distance away from where i was sitting!

so she came to find me during her break :')

only 2 international students in her class.

her apartment mate and herself.

the rest are danes. lol.

after 4 hrs, she was finally dismissed.

however, she had some prob logging into the intranet.

so we headed to the IT Helpdesk!

after the prob was solved, we took a bus and headed to Stroget!

we were hungry!

before anything, we had to find food first!

now that we're in Denmark, we choose the outdoor seats coz it's cooling outside and we get to enjoy the breeze while chilling! :'>

over here, every one and everything is big!

even their birds are bigger than those we usually see in Sg!

they look like eagles more than just normal birds!

and when people feeds them and the whole lot of them just come flying towards the same area tgt, it felt like we were at the bird park. lol.

though the weather's cold, meimei wanted to try this so much, so we got one :D

walking further, we spotted Baresso Coffee!

I think it's the locals' to-go place for coffee coz i see quite a number of outlets everywhere and all are usually packed!

meimei and i will try something from them soon.

before going home, we dropped by Fotex for some grocery shopping!

this is the nearest supermarket from our home. 

about 10mins walking distance from home.

got our groceries, then decided to make lasagne for dinner tonight!

in the oven, it goes!

and it's dinner time!

that was dinner.

had an interesting conversation over dinner.

it's cool to know how different they are, from us!

well well, good times pass quickly.

time to wash the dishes aft dinner.

sighness, i dont like doing that...

ah well, just hope those itchy bubbles wont grow out on my hands!

this is our big breakfast this morning! 

feeling satisfied ^.^

it's a Sunday and so, we decided to take the train!

while waiting for the bus.

otw to the train station, chanced upon a store selling Asian food!

that's where we bought our soy sauce and tang hoon!

we first went to Randers station.

really nice sunny day!

imma happy girl! *jumps into the air w/o shoes*

then moved on to Hobro.

nothing much at this station.

headed back to Aarhus to get our dinner.

took a stroll on the streets after dinner.

it's amazing how some of the guys can go topless in such weather!

it's cold when the wind blows!

ahhh, feeling inferior again!

it's unfair how they get to have pretty eyes and height and body and everything!

ah well~ nothing is fair in this world.

Den Gamle By aka The Old Town in Aarhus, Denmark.

Good morning! it's day #3 here in Aarhus, Denmark!

well, the weather was nice!

there's sun, but cool wind blowing (Y)

we alighted at the wrong stop and was walking back to the previous stop when we passed by a bakery and decided to take a look inside!

the owner was a super nice man!

he gave us like samples of every food item that we asked abt and also coffee to go with!
the coffee was nice!
not too thick and tasted like tea!
hmm... like a mixture of tea and coffee!

in the end, we felt alittle bad if we didnt buy anything from him.
so we got a scone to share :'>

the scone cost 9kr, but we only had 5kr on hand.
when i was searching for more coins in my pouch, he told us it's ok!
that 5kr was sufficient!

omg, he gave us a discount!
ahhh, so nice of him!

happy us outside his bakery! :'>

then we met 2 guys who were so nice that they just took ate their lunch otw while walking us to our destination!

sweetest comment from the ang moh: 'you smell nice!'

hehe, but i dont wanna attract bees leh!

they have really many bees here!

i'll snap a pic of them and post it here when i get the chance to!

anw today, mei and i decided to make our way to Den Gamle By aka The Old Town in Aarhus, Denmark.

it's quite a nice place.

they have pretty flowers there that we can enjoy viewing/admiring even without even regretting not visiting Gardens By The Bay in Sg!
