it was rainy-days the whole of last week.
this week, the weather forecast states that there'll be sun!
so, mei and i decided to visit the beach someday.
today is her presentation day and aft which, she'll only be left with exams!
so to celebrate this short period of freedom, we decided to go to the beach! :D
i was home the whole time, so i googled the various beaches in Aarhus and found that the Den Permanente Beach is the nearest beach from where we were staying.
moreover, it is by far the most popular beach for young people in Aarhus!
therefore, we decided to just go to that beach! :D
Ingrid came along with us too :D
got really excited, but did'nt get the chance to put our swimwear into good use coz though it's summer in Aarhus, it is still cooooold! :/
nevertheless, we still went to take a look and was thinking, if it's good, we could go back again another day!
google map states it's a short walking distance from the bus stop where we alighted, but we kept walking and walking and walking, but dont see the beach leh :{
aft abt 10 mins walk, we finally spotted the beach!
yes, we chose the blue-flagged beach coz it means that it's eco-friendly and cleaner than those without!
and this small little window is the entrance to the beach.
kinda weird, i feel.
full of anticipation, we walked in.
but omg, it was such a DISAPPOINTMENT!
we can see one end of the beach to the other end just by turning our heads left and right!
it's like an enclosed beach!
at that moment, i totally miss the beaches at Sentosa.
so we walked out and explored the surrounding.
found somewhere that has more rocks and not so enclosed.
looking at people canoe.
us (:
decided to sit at the ledge.
and a rare pic of the three of us tgt :D
sitting on the ledge, enjoying the breeze, admiring the view of the sea and the sky, while snacking.
spotted people having lessons!
oh, look at the fence-like structure on the right-hand side of the pic below.
that's the 'fence' of one end of the beach and on the other side, there was another 'fence'.
that's it.
sigh.. disappointment much!?
anw, so we sat on the ledge and spent some time taking in fresh air :D
:]
looking closer into the sea, there's a green path!
what's that?
credits: meimei :']
and last group pic before we head back home.
had to walk out to the bus stop.
earlier on, it was downhill.
not so bad.
but going back, it's uphill! :s
Ingrid cycled to meet us, so she cycled back on her own too.
we did'nt rent a bicycle coz we were afraid that we dont know the routes and all, so we bought bus passes for bus!
while waiting for our bus ;]
went to Rema1000, a supermarket before heading home, but did'nt spot meimei's yan tang.
otw back to the bus stop, i spotted these red flowers!
are they roses?
so pretty :'>
got home and made pizza + wedges for dinner!
oh, and tried baking chicken with chicken stock!
surprisingly, it was good :']
meimei realised one of her friends is in Aarhus and her friend requested for a meetup!
so... we hurriedly finish our dinner and made our way out to meet her friend.
this is the sky when the sun is setting.
breathtaking view; so so pretty!
pictures doesn't do it justice.
see it in person, it's really pretty.
and tonight is the 2nd time i see a moon here! haha.
yes, only the 2nd time after so long!
finally met up with her friend, Chester.
that's him looking for alcohol from the refrigerator behind.
lol, alcoholic much!
yes, we played a few rounds of foosball and because it was alr late + it was cold at night, we decided to stay indoors.
Chester's friend, Thomas, then went to get beer (upon request). lol.
sharing a can of beer :D
while they were having an intense match, we were just taking pics on our own. lol.
#1)
#2)
aft finishing the 6 cans of beer, there was some hard liquor that they found from the refrigerator?
something that doesnt even smell nice, and so we mixed it with coke.
and the result of it : Asian Flush.
the guys were alittle high and started their intense match of foosball again.
while they were playing, we just sat and watch.
dont even wanna move around anymore. lol.
we were still alright with just one can of beer shared between us.
but when the hard liquor was introduced, we went alittle high. lol.
ok, i think i needa sleep. bye!
what a night!
in Denmark, they dont have night rider, and we certainly have missed the last bus home.
hence, we got no choice but to walk home.
googled-map the route before we started drinking.
it states that it was gonna be a half an hr walk back.
we were still contemplating whether we should do so.
but when we stepped out of the building, it was freaking cold!
it was so cold that my teeth chatter.
Chester was gonna stay at his friend's house for just a night.
we have nowhere to go, so we stayed over at his friend's house too.
his friend was quite a nice guy, allowed us to sleepover coz it was so so cold outside in the night!
thank you Chester's friend (oopsie, didn't get his name)!
